Tuition and Enrollment 2012-2013

Beginning September 1, 2012

All tuition fees are based on calendar months. All twelve months will be calculated at the same rate. No additional fees will be charged during months in which a fifth class is available, and no discounts will be given for months in which less than four classes are available. In Sync Dance has a TWO MONTH minimum for all classes.

Tuition will be accepted on a monthly basis, ONE MONTH IN ADVANCE. Monthly payment plans will require a one-month advance payment, and subsequent payments will be due no later than the 7th of the month, prior to that which is being paid for (i.e., payment for October is due by September 10th). Checks should be made payable to In Sync Dance.

All Company Students, will be required to participate in a minimum of one technique class per week, per discipline.

Partial Month Sign Ups

Those registering beyond the first week of any month will have their tuition calculated at a predetermined rate, per class or classes, per week. The above rates are discounted based on the volume of classes being taken. Prorated tuition may not necessarily be the determining factor in calculating a partial month’s classes taken. A table has been set up for determining partial month’s tuition rates. An annual registration fee of $25.00 per family is also due and payable at the time of registration, then annually thereafter.

Multiple Student Family Discounts

This year In Sync Dance is offering multiple student family discounts. Parents with two students will only pay full tuition for one. The second, lower priced student’s tuition will be calculated at 75% of the normal rate. Third students will be at the normal rate. A fourth would also be calculated at 75%. Full rates always apply to the higher tuitions first. Please be prepared to document students are in fact of the same family. There will be no advance payment discount offered at In Sync this year.

Late and Insufficient Payments

All NSF (Non-Sufficient Funds) checks will be charged a $15.00 NSF fee and possible forfeiture of rights to use checks for payment of services in the future. Any monthly tuition payments not received by the 7th will incur a 10% late penalty. Continual late monthly payments may result in student being asked to no longer participate at In Sync Dance. No student will be allowed to participate in class until tuition payments have been received and Registration Form is turned in fully completed and signed by a parent or legal guardian. Visa, MasterCard and Debit Cards will be accepted.

Class Withdrawal Policy

Please adhere to our “One Month Notice Before Ending Enrollment Rule.” One month notice from the 1st through the 7th of the month is required to discontinue any class/classes at In Sync. Withdrawal must be done in person and will not be accepted over the phone. Withdrawal must be done at the studio reception desk and not with the instructor.

Withdrawal must occur within the first SEVEN days of the month. To withdraw from classes a parent or adult student must:

  • Inform studio administration in person, and
  • Complete and sign a withdrawal form provided by the office, one month in advance of discontinuing lessons.

In Sync Dance reserves the right to terminate lessons to any students without notice.

Home School Students

Home School Students must have contracts approved/signed BEFORE participating in classes at In Sync, unless parent/guardian agrees to pay the difference, in advance, any tuition not covered by the school. It is the responsibility of Home School Students to have these arrangements authorized in advance. Talk with your Home School office regarding advance authorization. Please understand that it is not In Sync’s responsibility to make these arrangements for you.

Costumes Payment Policy

Costumes will be ordered and charged to families at a cost of $60 each. In Sync Dance offers several ways of paying for all costumes through a number of different programs. Please ask staff personally about these programs.

  • Costume payments for the annual spring ballet are due on December 1.
  • Costume payment deadline for the annual summer performance tentatively scheduled for late June is March 1.

It will be critical that In Sync Dance receives all costume fees and places all orders by these dates in order to ensure costumes arrive in ample time to be ready for the shows. In Sync Dance will assist with tailoring and alterations at no additional cost to parents or students prior to any performances in the event costumes require this type of work.

Enrollment

There are NO free trial lessons at In Sync Dance. If you are new to In Sync and interested in enrolling yourself or your child in a program, a Registration Form must be completed, a Parent/Student Contract must be read and signed, and one month’s tuition, as well as one month’s ADVANCE tuition is required along with a $25.00 per family annual registration fee prior to any lessons being taken. Any parent or student interested is invited to observe classes through the window outside the classroom prior to registering. If upon completion of a FIRST lesson being taken, a student or parent is dissatisfied and not wishing to enroll in alternate classes, come by the desk and you will be refunded your prepayment minus the fee for the class taken. Otherwise, the “One Month Notice Before Ending Enrollment Rule” will apply.
